John Noble
- Character: Walter Bishop
- Date of Birth: December 31st, 1969
- Age: 2010
John is an Australian film and television actor. He has also directed more than 80 theatre productions. His best known role is as Denethor in Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. He also appeared in the sixth season of 24 and he had recurring roles on All Saints and Home and Away. He is currently filming the movie Risen, where he plays a boxing instructor in the tale of Howard Winstone, who became the Featherweight Champion of the World at 39. .
Walter Bishop
Dr. Walter Bishop has spent the last 17 years of his life in a mental institution. Before entering the institution, Dr. Bishop was a government researcher. His research focused on “fringe” science. In his early years he was partnered with William Bell, who went on to found the hugely successful company Massive Dynamic, and used some of their joint projects to become rich. In 1991 an accident occurred in Walter's lab that resulted in the death of one of his lab assistants. Walter was charged with manslaughter and sentenced to St. Claire's Mental Institution. Walter was recruited by FBI Agent Olivia Dunham to assist in a case that used technology Walter had previously worked on. As a condition of his release, Walter is supervised by his son, Peter. Walter assists the team in providing scientific and technological expertise in an attempt to figure out The Pattern: a strange series of events that often relate to Walter's earlier work

John Noble is a gem to watch, his Walter Bishop is one the most interesting characters on tv right now. He goes out on the edge just far enough to make you say whoa,did you see that, but not far enough to make you say gimme a break. Mr. Noble has created a character that will always be remembered.
